A premium 3D commercial created for the luxury fashion brand Polina Repik. The central concept revolves around a surreal visual transition where a festive holiday bow on a Christmas tree seamlessly transforms and morphs into an elegant evening dress from the brand's latest collection.
Technical Pipeline & Workflow
Garment Construction & Digital Tailoring (Marvelous Designer): Recreated the exact digital pattern of the Polina Repik gown based on real-world reference garments. Configured custom fabric physical properties (Silk / Satin) to achieve realistic draping, friction, and dynamic movement. Simulated the unraveling animation of the bow transitioning into the dress silhouette.
Scene Setup & Lighting (Blender): Built a full 3D environment including a stylized Christmas tree, photo-studio backdrop, and surrounding props. Configured shape keys, cloth simulation dynamics, and custom shaders to drive the morphing sequence. Set up cinematic three-point lighting (Softbox + Rim light) to emphasize fabric sheen and micro-details.
Shading & Rendering: Developed custom PBR silk/satin materials with precise normal maps, roughness variation, and weave micro-structures. Rendered high-resolution frames using Blender Cycles with natural Depth of Field and Motion Blur.
Compositing & Color Grading: Performed final color grading matching the brand's minimalist aesthetic, adding subtle ambient sparkle particles to enhance the holiday atmosphere.
